10 Lessons Learned in 2021

Listen to this article

While the lord blessed us with a whole year, he also took us to another. I don’t know how your 2021 was but I personally went on the biggest rollercoaster of revealing’s, truths, blessings, opportunities, setbacks, and abundance in my life. Here are some of the lessons that will stay with me through 2022.

Lesson 1: Why did I not put $1000 in Dogecoin. Can you believe I only put in $10 at a price of .01. Had I invested $1000 into it at that price, I would have made $68,000 when the price went up to $0.688. I don’t know about you, but I fumbled that bag. I then fumbled it some more after panic selling 2,000 DOGE at .07 and not at its all-time high.

Lesson 2. “Never be so Loyal that you betray yourself” – @1996Biggs

I once became loyal to someone I met in a span of three weeks after listening to their life story and felt bad for the ordeal they went through. When trouble came, I took their side at their defense without knowing the facts mostly because they acted like a victim. I later learned of their true nature, characteristics, and victimized personalities in every situation that happened. I took the fault for something they had done only for this person to pepper me with sense. Later, proving to be an idiot for being loyal to someone who had no loyalty to me. Be loyal to you and stay away from those that play the victim because chances are, they are lying and manipulating you to side with them.

Lesson 3. Trust your intuition at all times. Stop ignoring the red flags, it will cost you in the end.

I was a part of something that didn’t feel right, a relationship that was good but felt I was missing key aspects of the full story. When I started to look at the inconsistencies, a loophole of uncertainty presented itself. Sadly I played myself in dancing with uncertainty. When things aren’t adding up, subtract yourself. They know what they did wrong, don’t waste your energy searching for the truth amongst those who have hid it from you.

Lesson 4. The best REVENGE IS SUCCESS. & “Vengeance is for the lord”

I was minding my business when a family member called me over a concern they had. Already I knew something was up because why would you be calling me at this hour. They told me they had something important to tell me so I took time to have a conversation. That conversation made me so mad and boiled up I wanted to inflict the most pain on everyone involved. First for those I trusted with my business and having it out and the lies associated with it being passed done as gossip. Immediately I was on demon time to cuzz everyone out and then another family member texted me with Nelson Mandela’s quote.

The quote—- > “As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be in prison.”

Nelson Mandela FORMER PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA

I’m sure we all have those people in our family that speak in quotes and sayings. He meant to let go of whatever bad I had heard and to forgive who had said it. Perhaps if I had listened to it, everything would not have blown up so strong and bad. It is true, vengeance is for the lord and not for you to take it upon yourself to inflict pain on who has done you wrong. Once this ideology immersed in my head, I knew that the situation was in itself a blessing, a lesson, and God’s protection. We often dwell on the things that have been done wrong to us but the GAG is, the things people do have a bigger reflection on themselves than it does on those they are doing it to.

2021 Gave me this scripture to cling on.

{The scripture says my “Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.}”

Lesson 5. “Nobody trashes your name more than someone who’s afraid you’ll tell people the truth”.

As said earlier, when things aren’t adding up, subtract yourself because chances are, they know what wrong they did. There’s no need for you to explain yourself. Oftentimes, a lie has many variations, but the truth has none.

Lesson 6. You don’t have to explain yourself to those who mean you well. The good people around you will understand you with no hesitation.

I was caught up in a scenario in what he said, she said, and they said when, in actuality I should have removed myself from the toxicity when it happened in the first place. When someone comes to you as a victim but cannot own up to one bad thing they have done, run away. They probably are the troublemaker, and manipulator of their story. They will also turn on you once you stop seeing them as the victim, they are manipulating you to think of.

Lesson 7. He always Provides

Above all else, God will provide through thick and thin. Just make sure you do right in his goodness gracious. Be the best person you can be, do the best you can do and let him take over the rest. We may not be perfect but at least we are trying and holding ourselves accountable for our actions.

Lesson 8. Be thankful for those fallouts, now you see what they were holding in.

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. It’s a cliche quote but it is 100% true. Don’t let anger make you go out and belittle others. If you have to compare yourself to another or even open your mouth to tell someone you are on a higher level than them, they are probably moving higher than you. Those above us rarely push others down but uplift, it’s only those beneath you that move in a way as so. Be thankful for fallouts in friendships because the real ones were going to be there regardless of anything. Only those not meant to be had to be taken away.

Lesson 9. “Those who plot evil go astray but those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness”. Proverbs 14.22

This year I got close to the three wisdom literatures in the bible. The Book of Job was always my favorite book for the lesson of loyalty to God throughout all mishaps, but Proverbs taught me a lot. I fell in love with lady wisdom this year, her poems, her sayings, her calmness, and understandings in the bible. As a calm yet hot-tempered babe, I learned a lot of what to do in the heat of strife, disappointment and directed negativity as the year progressed. If you are reading this please go read The book of Proverbs.

Lesson 10. You are protected by the MOST HIGH and will continue to rise into your power.

Above all no matter what has happened, what has been said or done, we seek God for forgiveness, understanding and abundance. I thank God for carrying me through 2021 blessed, protected and highly favored.

I hope your 2021 was as eventful as mine. Feel free to let me know in the comments or through DM’s.
